The remote outer Andaman chain — Barren Island's live volcano, Narcondam's pristine seamount reef, and Cinque's hard coral terraces — holds some of the least-visited diving in the Indian Ocean. Endemism is high: Andaman damselfish, Andaman tuskfish, and Andaman sweetlips are regulars. Access is by liveaboard from Port Blair with forest department permissions required for some islands.
