Bermuda
Bermuda · Atlantic Ocean
The wreck capital of the Atlantic, Bermuda's shallow subtropical platform holds over 300 documented shipwrecks spanning five centuries, from Spanish galleons to World War II vessels, all draped in hard corals and patrolled by schooling fish. Mid-Atlantic isolation has produced a distinctive reef community of green moray eels, spiny lobster, and vast sergeant major aggregations surrounded by some of the clearest waters in the western Atlantic.
