Laha
Ambon Bay · Indonesia
Laha is the epicenter of Ambon Bay's legendary critter diving — a shallow, silty muck slope running from 3 to 25 meters that harbors the world's most reliable population of epaulette sharks and some of the greatest nudibranch diversity on earth. The dark substrate, near-zero current, and exceptional shelter of Ambon Bay's inner waters create ideal conditions for rare camouflage masters like Rhinopias scorpionfish and wonderpus octopus. Every dive here is essentially a macro photography session with unpredictable star appearances.
