Overview
Dive the frigid, high-altitude waters of Lake Titicaca, the world's highest navigable lake, straddling the border of Peru and Bolivia. Explore submerged Inca ruins and encounter unique endemic species like the giant Titicaca water frog. The clear, cold waters offer a distinct freshwater diving experience unlike any other.
Briefing note
Diving at high altitude requires specialized training and acclimatization. Consult with local dive operators for specific safety protocols. Permits may be required for certain dive sites.

How we summarise this
We aggregate confirmed occurrence records from GBIF and OBIS within a fixed radius of each dive site. Occurrence records confirm presence and reveal seasonality clustering, but they DO NOT measure per-dive probability — there is no eligible-effort denominator. We deliberately do not publish a numeric '% chance of sighting' from this data.
