Dog Island
Anguilla · Anguilla
Dog Island is an uninhabited cay 10 kilometres west of Anguilla's main landmass, surrounded by some of the most pristine and rarely dived reefs in the eastern Caribbean. The island's remote position means almost no fishing pressure, resulting in exceptional fish biomass — large Nassau grouper, sleeping blacktip sharks, and dense snapper aggregations that have been hunted out of most Caribbean locations. Strong tidal currents on the western point create drift dive conditions that pull in open-ocean pelagics including hammerheads during winter months.
