Underwater at Drew's Rock

Drew's Rock

Dive site

Drew's Rock is a submerged pinnacle rising from 30 meters to within 8 meters of the surface, heavily colonised by barrel sponges, orange cup corals, and sea fans. The exposed position channels current past the pinnacle and attracts resident bluefin and yellowfin trevally, roaming dogtooth tuna, and occasional rainbow runner. The best diving is in the 15 to 25 meter band where the soft coral growth is most prolific. A permanent resident school of big-eye snapper provides close-focus photography even on days when the pelagic action is quiet.
