Secret Bay

Dive site

Secret Bay is a sheltered black-sand muck dive tucked behind a headland near the Anilao pier, best known as one of the few Philippines sites where mimic octopus are reliably encountered. The shallow sloping sand at 5 to 22 meters hosts an extraordinary density of cryptic species including hairy frogfish, demon stinger, and multiple pipefish species. Night dives reveal mandarin fish and bobtail squid that are absent during the day. The site suits macro photographers of all experience levels and is a standard add-on evening dive for resort guests.
