Shark Ledge

Astola Island · Pakistan

A series of undercut limestone ledges on the southeastern side of Astola where nurse sharks rest in groups of up to eight animals. The ledges begin at around 12 metres and extend to 28 metres, with fan corals and sea whips decorating the walls between them. Whitetip reef sharks patrol the sandy gullies and the occasional zebra shark has been spotted resting on the open sand. One of the most rewarding shark dives in the entire Arabian Sea.
