Dhonfanu Thila
Baa Atoll · Maldives
Dhonfanu Thila is a submerged pinnacle rising from 30 metres to just 8 metres below the surface, festooned with sea fans, soft corals, and enormous schools of fusiliers and snapper. Strong currents sweep nutrients across the thila, drawing grey reef sharks, eagle rays, and Napoleon wrasse on nearly every dive. The site rewards patient divers who tuck into the current shadow to watch the pelagic parade unfold.
