Lost Paradise of Dilmun Reef
Bahrain · Bahrain
Named after the ancient Dilmun civilisation whose pearl trading empire once dominated the Gulf, this artificial reef system was purpose-built using decommissioned vessels, concrete modules, and submerged archaeological replica structures that double as dive attractions. Years of coral recruitment have softened the hard edges of the structures into living reef, and the site now hosts one of the most biodiverse fish communities in Bahraini waters. It is the country's flagship recreational dive site and the entry point for most visiting divers.
