Pulau Ai Pinnacles
Banda Sea · Indonesia
A cluster of volcanic pinnacles rising from 35 metres to within 8 metres of the surface, each draped in dense soft coral growth and patrolled by schooling bigeye trevally. The narrow channels between pinnacles accelerate current enough to attract large pelagics including thresher sharks in early morning; macro life is exceptional in the calmer crevices and undercuts.
