San Juan
Batangas · Philippines
San Juan in Batangas province is famous for its resident population of yellow-lipped sea kraits that gather at a unique feeding station on the reef, attracting divers who want to observe these elegant and mildly venomous snakes in their natural hunting behavior. The reef itself is a mixed landscape of sloping coral gardens, rubble patches, and sandy channels that support large moray eels, resident turtles, and a prolific assortment of reef fish. Night dives at San Juan are exceptional, with lionfish, octopus, and sleeping parrotfish easily observed along the reef margin.
