Aquarium Bay near Bodrum earns its name from water so clear and calm that snorkellers and divers share the bay with dense aggregations of damselfish, wrasse, and bream in what feels like a natural saltwater aquarium. The shallow sandy floor gives way to a rocky reef slope covered in posidonia seagrass meadows that shelter seahorses, pipefish, and cuttlefish. It is an ideal beginner and certification dive site and an outstanding introduction to Aegean marine life.
