Underwater at Muri Muri

Muri Muri

Bora Bora · French Polynesia

A wall site on the lagoon's outer southern edge where the barrier reef drops vertically from 8 meters to 40 meters and beyond. The wall face is encrusted with sea fans, barrel sponges, and field anemones hosting clownfish. Eagle rays and whitetip reef sharks patrol the wall base, and at depth the occasional manta ray passes through between May and October. One of Bora Bora's best sites for wall structure and large animal encounters together.
