Underwater at Teavanui Pass

Teavanui Pass

Bora Bora · French Polynesia

The main passage through Bora Bora's barrier reef, Teavanui funnels strong tidal currents that attract the island's most impressive pelagic encounters. Lemon sharks patrol the sandy channel floor and are joined by blacktip reef sharks, schools of jack, and occasional hammerhead passing through on incoming tide. Eagle rays cruise the current margins. An exhilarating drift for confident divers that builds in intensity with the tide.
