Big Brother — South Wall

Brothers Islands — Walls and Deep · Egypt

Big Brother's south wall is the calmer, more sheltered face and the preferred entry for liveaboard groups. The wall starts at 10 m on the plateau and drops vertically past 60 m, lined with enormous sea fans, black coral bushes, and colonies of red Dendronephthya. Oceanic whitetip sharks are frequent in the water column from October through December, often accompanied by pilot fish. Grey reef sharks patrol the reef edge year-round. The wreck of the Numidia sits on the plateau at the north end but the south wall itself is a pure wall dive in pristine condition.
