Little Brother — East Wall
Brothers Islands — Walls and Deep · Egypt
Little Brother is smaller and wilder than its sibling — no lighthouse, no wreck, just a sheer wall falling to beyond 100 m on the east face exposed to the prevailing current. This is the prime spot for oceanic whitetip sharks at the Brothers: the current sweeps divers along the wall while whitetips cut through from the open water, circling at arm's length with characteristic slow wingbeats. Grey reef sharks hold station along the reef edge. The wall is covered in gorgonian sea fans at 20 to 40 m and Millepora fire coral above. The dive is a drift from north to south; divers surface well clear of the island and get picked up by the tender.
