Little Brother — South Tip
Brothers Islands — Walls and Deep · Egypt
The south tip of Little Brother is where the two walls converge and current accelerates around the point, creating an upwelling that attracts schools of fish and the sharks that follow them. Grey reef sharks hold in the current here in groups of 5 to 15, often motionless and facing into the flow. Scalloped hammerheads appear in summer at the blue water beyond the tip. The reef top at 10 to 15 m is healthy staghorn and table coral with abundant reef fish; the walls on either side drop to 60 m and beyond. A less-crowded alternative when other boats anchor on the main wall.
