Wilderness Wall

Cayman Brac · Cayman Islands

Wilderness Wall is on the remote east end of Cayman Brac, rarely dived due to its distance from the main operators and exposure to ocean swell. Those who make the trip are rewarded with pristine coral in an almost undisturbed state — high coral cover, thick sea fan formations, and virtually no diver impact. The wall drops from 15 metres into deep blue water and supports one of the densest black coral communities in the Caymans at depth. Large Nassau grouper in spawning aggregation size are present near the wall edge, and the site is known for consistent sightings of reef sharks well away from any feeding site.
