Manta Bommie
Coral Bay · Australia
A large coral bommie rising from a sandy seabed that acts as a cleaning station for reef manta rays. Mantas glide in regularly to be serviced by wrasse, often circling the structure for extended periods. The bommie itself is draped in hard and soft corals and surrounded by schools of fusiliers, batfish, and the occasional reef shark. Dives here are unhurried — divers hold position and let the mantas come to them.
