Punta Palazzu

Dive site

The signature dive of Scandola: a towering porphyry wall that plunges from the surface to over 50 metres, its red and ochre rock colonised by deep sponges, yellow colonial tunicates, and dense gorgonian sea fans. Dusky grouper approach to within touching distance — emboldened by decades of protection — while large conger eels patrol the base. Barracuda schools hover in the blue water off the wall's shoulder.
