Underwater at Paphos Wall

Paphos Wall

Dive site

A consistent wall dive off the Paphos coast that drops from 12 metres down to beyond 50 — most recreational divers work the 15 to 35-metre section where the rock face is densest with life. Yellow and orange encrusting sponges dominate the upper wall; lower sections open into ledges sheltering large scorpionfish and the occasional electric ray resting on sandy patches. Greater amberjack occasionally pass in open water off the wall edge in late spring. Nitrox is widely available from Paphos operators and recommended for the deeper sections.
