Scotts Head Pinnacle
Dominica · Dominica
Where the Caribbean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean at the southern tip of Dominica, a submerged volcanic pinnacle rises from 45 m to within 5 m of the surface. Black coral trees grow from 20 m down in dense forests. Seahorses and frogfish shelter in the sponge fields and the wall face hosts cleaning stations visited by turtles throughout the dive. The site sits in a marine reserve with no anchoring, so boat must drift or be held off by tender.
