Whitetip reef sharks rest in loose clusters along the seamount's rocky ledges, occasionally becoming active during strong current pulses that push prey fish into exposed positions. Their relaxed demeanor and curiosity toward divers makes extended observation straightforward, and juveniles are often seen patrolling the shallower reef sections around the seamount base.
