Overview
A 137 m Anchor Line steamer that ran straight onto the north point of Big Brother in July 1901 and slid down the reef wall, where she now lies almost vertical — bow at 8 m, stern past 80 m. Two railway axles and their iron wheels still sit on the deck near 25 m, cargo that never reached Calcutta. Soft corals and gorgonians sheath the hull, clouds of glassfish fill the holds, and anthias hang over the rails while grey reef sharks patrol the blue off the stern.
Briefing note
The wreck drops down a vertical wall: bow around 8 m, the railway wheels near 25 m, midship by 40 to 50 m and the stern beyond 80 m, so the lower hull is technical only. Brother Islands are liveaboard-only and the marine park is generally reachable only in the calmer months.
