Dolphin Reef
Eilat · Israel
A semi-wild dolphin interaction site where a resident pod of bottlenose dolphins lives in a large fenced lagoon open to the sea, choosing to spend time around divers on their own terms in a relationship built on genuine curiosity rather than conditioning. The reef slope descends from 5 to 35 metres over sandy substrate punctuated by hard coral outcrops, and dolphins frequently escort divers along the wall before peeling off to resume their own activities. This is one of the world's most ethically regarded dolphin dive experiences precisely because the animals can leave at any time and almost always choose to stay.
