Underwater at Muiron Islands

Muiron Islands

Exmouth · Australia

The North and South Muiron Islands lie 15 km northeast of Exmouth in the Exmouth Gulf and are protected within the Cape Range National Park marine zone. The reefs around both islands are largely pristine, with high coral cover and exceptional visibility. Humpback whales move through the gulf from July to October. Dugongs feed in the seagrass meadows between the islands. The exposed eastern sides deliver drift dives along colourful walls while sheltered western bays offer calmer conditions.
