Blue Cave (Light Cave)
Fethiye / Göcek · Turkey
A luminous sea cave in the cliffs north of Göcek where a submerged entrance channels refracted sunlight into the cavern, bathing everything in shifting blue and silver light. The cave runs to about 15 metres depth and opens into a partially air-filled chamber popular with snorkellers above and divers below, with walls draped in orange sponges, yellow sea fans, and clusters of red starfish. Rainbow wrasse and damselfish school at the entrance while the shadowed inner walls host cup corals and lobster retreating into every joint in the limestone.
