Sarsala Bay
Fethiye / Göcek · Turkey
A deeply sheltered bay east of Göcek town with a sandy floor divided by rocky ridges, creating a patchwork of habitats ideal for macro hunting and encounters with inquisitive sea turtles that feed on seagrass meadows nearby. The bay's calm conditions make it a year-round dive, with morays threading through rocky overhangs and octopus emerging from dens in the late afternoon. Loggerhead turtles regularly cruise through the bay and are comfortable around divers, sometimes resting on the bottom in clear open view.
