Fongafale Coral Garden

A shallow lagoon coral garden directly off the main motu of Fongafale, ideal for beginner divers and snorkellers. Healthy formations of Acropora, Porites, and brain corals carpet the lagoon floor between 3 and 12 metres. Parrotfish, triggerfish, and surgeonfish are abundant, and hawksbill turtles are commonly seen grazing on sponges. The site is protected from swell by the reef rim and is diveable year-round.
