Shaab Sharm
Fury Shoals · Egypt
Shaab Sharm is a protected bay within the Fury Shoals reef complex offering one of the most accessible anchorages in the system, with a sandy-bottomed lagoon ideal for night dives and morning reef exploration before the liveaboard moves to deeper pelagic sites. The inner walls are alive with chromis, anthias, and sweepers in clouds so dense they appear solid from below, while the outer reef edge delivers consistent encounters with hawksbill turtles and grey reef sharks. A sand garden on the lagoon floor hosts garden eels, blue-spotted stingrays, and occasional pufferfish in an endearing shallow-water macro environment.
