Cascade Wall

Dive site

Cascade Wall is a dramatic vertical drop on Grand Cayman's southwest point where the reef crest at 15 m plunges in a near-vertical face past 40 m and beyond sport diving limits. The wall surface is textured with overlapping layers of plate coral and deep-water sea fans that give it the cascading appearance the site is named for, and enormous barrel sponges crowd every available ledge. The southwest point creates a gentle current convergence that delivers nutrients and attracts eagle rays and the occasional hammerhead. The proximity to both the north and south walls makes it a natural junction site on two-tank liveaboard itineraries.
