Pedra d'Água
Ilha Grande · Brazil
A submerged granite pinnacle rising from 25 m to 4 m depth on the south coast, swept by the cold thermocline currents of the Atlantic. Endemic species including the Brazilian grunt and colourful Brazilian basslet are common, and the hard current brings good visibility and healthy soft-coral growth across the rock faces.
