Queen angelfish are among the most visually striking residents of El Farito, patrolling fixed territories among the gorgonians and grazing on sponges that cover the pinnacle's flanks. Pairs are typically seen together and exhibit strong site fidelity, making them reliable subjects for underwater photography. Their brilliant blue and yellow colouration intensifies in the clear Caribbean water that characterises this sheltered site.
