Scuba Season
Underwater at Bush Bay

Bush Bay

Jervis Bay · Australia

Bush Bay's shallow rocky reef on the western shore of Jervis Bay is one of the best muck and macro sites in southern New South Wales. Weedy seadragons are resident year-round here, often sighted on the kelp margins at 8 to 12 metres. Decorator crabs, seahorses and an impressive diversity of nudibranchs reward patient searching. When manta rays move into the bay between November and March they regularly pass through Bush Bay's shallower margins, making it one of the few manta sites that is also genuinely good for photographers spending time at depth.
