Underwater at Black Coral Wall

Black Coral Wall

Dive site

A near-vertical wall dropping from 12 metres to beyond recreational limits on the south side of Tokashiki Island. Red coral trees and black coral colonies carpet the wall face from 20 metres down, interspersed with wire coral and deepwater gorgonians. The wall attracts schooling anthias, blue-spotted stingrays on the sand below, and occasional hammerhead passes in autumn.
