Humpback Channel
Dive site
Open-water channel between Zamami and Aka Islands where humpback whales concentrate January through March during their North Pacific wintering season. Divers and snorkellers enter the water when a pod surfaces nearby. Outside whale season the channel holds strong drift with grey reef sharks and eagle rays following the current.
