Underwater at Greek Ship Wreck

Greek Ship Wreck

Kish Island · Iran

The rusting hulk of a Greek cargo vessel that ran aground on the southwestern shallows of Kish in the 1960s now sits partially exposed above and below the waterline. The accessible underwater sections shelter large moray eels, lionfish perched on every railing, and schools of glassfish that pour through the holds. The wreck is fully penetrable in places and makes for an atmospheric dive even in modest visibility.
