Turtle Reef
Kish Island · Iran
Named for the resident hawksbill and green turtles that feed on the seagrass beds and coral patches of the northeastern shallows, this site is one of the most reliably turtle-rich dives in the Persian Gulf. The terrain is gently sloping mixed reef and sand, with scattered coral bommies that attract large morays and resting nurse sharks. The relaxed current and modest depth make it excellent for underwater photography.
