Koh Usen
Koh Lipe · Thailand
A small uninhabited island 3 km southwest of Lipe with a submerged ridge running off its northern tip into open water. The ridge top at 12 m has some of the best tabletop acropora in the park; beyond it the bottom slopes to 30 m and terminates in a sandy plain used as a resting area by green and hawksbill turtles. Bumphead parrotfish visit in aggregations of up to 30 individuals during the early morning flood tide between November and February.
