Bida Nok
Koh Phi Phi · Thailand
The larger of the two uninhabited Bida islets south of Phi Phi Le. A near-vertical wall on the west side drops from 3 m to beyond 30 m, encrusted with sea fans, barrel sponges, and black coral. Leopard sharks park on the sandy ledges at 18 to 22 m throughout the year. Strong upwellings on the southwest corner attract bumphead parrotfish and occasional whale sharks during the March to April window.
