Shark Point (Hin Bida)
Koh Phi Phi · Thailand
Three submerged pinnacles between Phi Phi and the mainland are among the most celebrated dive sites in the Andaman Sea. Encrusted in purple soft coral and sea anemones, the tops of the pinnacles sit at 18 m. Currents funnel past and bring leopard sharks — often six or more resting side by side on the flat sand — and passing mantis shrimp colonies in the rubble. A UNESCO-listed marine sanctuary zone since 1981.
