Stängselrevet Reef
Kosterfjord · Sweden
Stängselrevet is a shallow rocky reef system running parallel to the Koster coastline, protected within the national park boundaries. Kelp forests of sugar kelp and oarweed dominate the upper 8 metres, giving way to open rock encrusted with soft corals and sponges. This is one of the best sites in Sweden to observe the full range of Kosterfjord's macro life in a single dive: leopard-spotted nudibranchs, painted gobies hiding in mussel clusters, and large common lobsters wedged into crevices. Shore entry is possible, making it ideal for independent divers staying on Koster island.
