Kavaratti Lagoon Reef
Dive site
The protected lagoon of Kavaratti atoll, the territory's administrative capital, shelters an intact reef flat and slope reaching 25 m. Staghorn and table acropora grow in dense formations, visibility regularly exceeds 25 m, and reef fish density is high owing to decades of limited fishing pressure. Green and hawksbill turtles are resident year-round.
