Coral Garden
Lankayan Island · Malaysia
An extensive shallow reef system of hard and soft corals begins just below the surface and slopes gently to 20 metres, offering some of Lankayan's most photogenic wide-angle scenery. Bumphead parrotfish are daily visitors in the early morning, their synchronised grazing passes audible underwater, while blue-spotted lagoon rays glide between coral heads on the sandy channels. The site's moderate depth and typically calm conditions make it an excellent second or third dive of the day.
