Scuba Season
Underwater at Jounieh Bay Reef

Jounieh Bay Reef

Dive site

A crescent-shaped bay sheltered from the north swell creates conditions rare on the Lebanese coast: year-round visibility and a rocky reef system that drops from 5 to 40 metres with consistent resident marine life. Large barracuda form shoals in the shallower sections mid-summer; dusky grouper up to a metre long hold territory in the crevices below 20 metres. Mediterranean damselfish, saddled seabream, and schools of salema porgy fill the water column. Shore entry is practical for experienced divers.
