Porto Katsiki Underwater
Lefkada · Greece
Below the famous white limestone cliffs of Porto Katsiki on Lefkada's west coast, the dramatic vertical rock face continues underwater as a spectacular wall dive dropping into deep, intensely blue Ionian water. The cliff base is colonised by enormous red and yellow sponges alongside dense fields of red coral, while the wall's deeper sections harbour schools of bogue, saddled bream, and the occasional swordfish passing through the open water just beyond the wall's edge. This is Lefkada's most visually dramatic dive, where geology and marine life combine in a way rarely matched elsewhere in the Ionian.
