Hairball
Lembeh Strait · Indonesia
A shallow muck slope named for the patches of algae and hydroids that make for notoriously bad visibility from a distance but harbour the highest concentration of pygmy seahorses and rhinopias scorpionfish in the strait. The site requires slow, methodical searching and rewards divers who resist the instinct to move quickly across the sand.
