Fushivaru Thila
Lhaviyani Atoll · Maldives
Fushivaru Thila is a protected marine area and one of the Maldives' finest thila dives, with a seamount crest at just 10 metres draped in pristine hard corals and an overhanging wall blanketed in orange and pink soft corals. Hawksbill turtles graze the sponge-covered ledges while grey reef sharks and white tip sharks patrol the current edge. The site's protected status has allowed remarkable coral recovery and fish biomass to accumulate.
