Lobster Cave
Little Liuqiu Island · Taiwan
Lobster Cave is a broad shallow cavern cut into the island's western cliff face, accessible at 8 to 12 meters and opening into a spacious chamber where the ceiling lifts to allow comfortable diving without overhead hazard. The site's name comes from the spiny lobsters that once packed the cave in large numbers — still present in smaller concentrations — but today it is equally renowned for its resident green turtles that rest inside the cavern and for the purple sea fans that frame the cave entrance. The calm western exposure makes it diveable even on moderate swell days.
